PGN is about everyday people in need of positive motivation, inspiration and truth. Those who are experiencing life’s challenges and are finding it difficult to stay positive and reaffirmed. Participants share their individual testimonies about how they overcame their various struggles in life and how they moved through and kept going in spite of the difficulties.

The heart and story behind Positively Good News.

I am a natural encourager, a person who is always seeking to lift up others and consider the brighter side of things. I am passionate about my many relationships and I describe myself as a Christian first with various adjectives to follow, e.g.,  Black, “Sissy”, Alcoholic, Drug Addictic, Tobacco User, Cancer survivor and US Military Veteran. Having faced and moved through all of these life labels and challenges, I am currently 8 years clean and sober, tobacco free, a homeowner with many other God supplied gifts and talents. I now confidently testify as an OVERCOMER because of everything God has done in my life.

The objective of the Christian-based “Positively Good News’ endeavor is to offer a possible alternative to remedy negative thoughts. Our hope through this endeavor is to hold space for collaboration between like-minded individuals to use as a positive and encouraging method to combat the negative influences experienced so often by so many throughout the world. 

 

Philippians 4:8: Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.

More and more everyday people are mentally and/or emotionally suffering.  Some in silence, some through negative action or reaction and some through soft pleas for help. All are in need of peace of mind and positive alternative thinking.

 

I became discouraged by broadcast media consistently promoting negativity and leaving me feeling desperate and hopeless. During my experience at Teen Challenge, where I voluntarily committed myself to their 13 month live-in Christian based program, I met many people, like myself, who were participating due to life altering circumstances, e.g. drug addiction, alcoholism and pornography, etc. It was through the “Good News” of the Bible, that I was quickened to birth a project that would promote positivity.
